Kaz Ferry — Commercial Launch in April 2026
The Kaz Ferry project is developing during a period of significantly lowered Caspian Sea water levels, which requires heightened attention to maritime safety and major adjustments to infrastructure.
Our team is currently focused on three key areas:
- comprehensive repair, modernization, and technical adaptation of the vessel to meet the new hydrological conditions of the Caspian Sea;
- preparation and upgrading of port infrastructure in both Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, fully aligned with the changed depths and navigational requirements;
- establishing a robust system of safe operations, including updated procedures and enhanced maritime safety standards.
At this stage, we are not accepting applications or bookings, as our priority is to complete all safety-critical and technical preparations before launch.

We are the first Kazakhstani ferry company operating passenger RO-RO type ferries on the Kuryk-Baku route. Our mission is to provide reliable and comfortable transportation services.
Our Fleet
SilkWay is a modern roll-on/roll-off (RO-RO) vessel designed for the transportation of trucks, semi-trailers, and specialized equipment across the Caspian Sea. Built for year-round operation, the vessel ensures reliable, safe, and efficient connectivity between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
The ferry features a spacious cargo deck with convenient drive-on/drive-off access, advanced navigation systems, and state-of-the-art safety equipment. The crossing time on the Kuryk–Baku route is less than 24 hours, significantly accelerating cargo delivery and improving the efficiency of international shipments along the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor.
The launch of SilkWay marks an important milestone in the development of Kazakhstan’s maritime logistics and strengthens the country’s position as a key transit hub between Asia and Europe.
